Passport Services
The Passport Office is responsible for:
- Processing and issuing of British Overseas Territories Citizen / Cayman Islands passports and providing the residents of the Cayman Islands with advice regarding claims to and processes for obtaining nationality;
- Providing emergency travel documentation, including:
- Identity travel documents: Identity Certificates and travel documents;
- British Citizen emergency passports;
- Providing the residents of the Cayman Islands with advice regarding visa requirements for their travel plans, including:
- The provision of U.S. Visa Waivers (valid only if used within a period of twelve months from the date of issue and can only be used for a single journey to the U.S., commonly known as a waiver);
- Providing information on how to apply for a U.S. Non-Immigrant Visa (see Requirements for U.S. Visa information sheet);
- Providing information on ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) for U.S. immigration purposes (this only applies to those travelling to the U.S. on the Visa Waiver Programme, for example British Citizen passport holders);
- Processing and forwarding of U.S. Visas to Jamaica; U.S. Embassy website; (a) to complete the US Visa application Click Here and (b) to create an account, etc. Click Here
- Evaluating and advising of first time, and renewal of, British Citizen passport applications to Her Majesty's Passport Office in Durham U.K.
